TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program 2024

The Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) is a renowned organization that provides scholarships for higher education and has developed undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs in cooperation with renowned partner universities in Taiwan1. In 2024, the TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program is open for applications, offering 29 programs across various fields of study.


To be eligible for the TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program 2024, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be citizens of a country on the List of Countries Eligible for the TaiwanICDF.
  • Not be nationals or overseas students of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
  • Meet the admission requirements of the chosen Taiwanese university.
  • Comply with Taiwan’s visa and resident permit regulations.
  • Not hold any other ROC (Taiwan) government-sponsored scholarship in the same academic year.


The TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program covers the following expenses:

  • Airfare (most direct flights to and from Taiwan with Economy Class tickets).
  • Housing (all students must reside in student dormitories).
  • Tuition fee (the TaiwanICDF will cover the tuition fee as required by the student’s university).
  • Credit fees (credit fees vary with the number of credits registered).


The deadline for applying to the TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program 2024 is March 15, 2024.

How to Apply

To apply for the TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program 2024, follow these steps:

  1. Complete and submit the requested admission documents before the admissions deadline of the chosen university.
  2. Submit necessary documents to the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy or Representative Office in your country.
  3. After a review of a list of recommended applicants to the TaiwanICDF, the list of successful applicants will be informed by June 10, 2024.
